After 4 years of design and refinement, thousands of operational tests conducted by masters around the world, hundreds of color tests, and endless quality checks... the long-awaited InLei® Forma shields are now available!
Two types in each box
You read that right, each of InLei® Forma's precious silver packaging contains 4 pairs of shields, made in two variations:
- 2 pairs with glossy external finish
- 2 pairs with matt external finish
Some masters have found a preference in working with one type over the other, while others are comfortable with both without noticing any differences. This is a very subjective perception.

Features of InLei® Forma shields
We know lamimakers well, and we know that they like to know things in practical terms. So, we will present some details specifically, explaining how each feature affects operationally:
- DROP CURVATURE
InLei® Forma was born from the study of the latest trends in the industry. Its teardrop shape gives a harmonious and balanced curvature that gives a different effect depending on the eye on which it is used.
- HALF MOON SHAPE
Fits every eye shape perfectly, helping the lash stylist to work with ease in any situation.
- NOTCHES
The main difficulty of many lamimakers lies in placing the lashes perfectly perpendicular to the base: if there are mistakes in this step, you’ll compromise the result by risking getting crooked or crossed lashes. To avoid this problem, on the upper edge of the InLei® Forma we have inserted raised notches that help to adjust the correct direction.
- RIGHT AND LEFT
To achieve the most symmetrical and harmonious effect possible, we differentiated the right and left shields. The right one can be recognized by a small line above the word "Forma".
Towards the inner corner, the curvature is flatter - tending to the line of the classic InLei® natural shield curlers (with 1). Towards the outer corner, the curvature is more rounded, tending to the doll curl. If necessary, they can be swapped depending on the eye on which we have to work on!
- ADHESION
The surface that is in contact with the skin is glossy, so adherence is maximum and in some cases you can work even without gluing the shield to the eyelid.

What’s so special about it?
The structure of the InLei® Forma shield has a surface with no "petal" (crease), meaning it is completely smooth at the front. For this reason, it is suitable for various lash lengths. Its uniqueness lies in this detail: depending on the length of the lashes, it allows you to achieve a different effect!
Its conformation ensures maximum ease of use even for beginners.
In terms of materials, it is made entirely in Italy with 100% platinum silicone. Sanitizable with InLei® F Plus and autoclavable!
When is it recommended to use this type of shields ?
InLei® Forma is a universal shield , suitable for every type of eye and lashes.
It is recommended even in those cases that are difficult to treat with classic eyelash shields, it is perfect for correcting the lash direction and very useful when we face burnt or very ruffled lashes. It allows you to work on the entire length of each lash. A real ace in the hole!
There are many possible schemes for applying InLei® Form 1 eyelash perm on this shield and many cases where we recommend Forma over other shields. We call it universal because on 99% of cases it works excellently and that 1% is a particular type of eye on which it is not recommended - but by taking proper precautions it is great there too!
3 interesting facts about the creation of InLei® Forma
- The very first version of the shield was called InLei® Aurea: it was created on the basis of the golden section, but this shield was only suitable for some very particular types of eyes. The goal was to create a universal shield, so this version was discarded. Who knows - maybe it will come to life at some point!
- After many corrections in the digital design, three different molds were created before arriving at the final version.
- We found that color pigments heavily affect the softness (and thus the comfort) of the shield. Testers made in solid green were very stiff, but as we decreased the amount of green in the shield we returned to the elasticity typical of platinum silicone. That's why in the end we opted for a semi-transparent color, very comfortable but still impactful!
You may be wondering: “what about all those brightly colored but still soft curlers I find online?” Easy, these are not pure platinum silicone shields but mixtures or gums! We have decided to maintain the excellent quality that distinguishes us and choose only the finest, most comfortable and safest materials. Experienced operators feel the difference at the first use!
